Genesis Contractors, Inc. is a full service general contracting company offering premium construction services to Orange County and beyond. Our complete offering of services includes roofing, design, consulting, site development and construction management in all phases. Established in 1994, Genesis was created with the goal of providing structures and services that are cost effective, on schedule and of the highest standard of quality for our clients. The philosophy we guide and manage our company by is that the clients needs drive the entire construction process. 

Genesis offers a full line of Roofing, Siding and Windows products, and we are certified by the major distributors of these products to install. Well known companies such as Certainteed, GAF, Owens-Corning and Andersen are amongst the products that are offered when you call Genesis.

We offer Green solutions for  Roofing and Siding as well as interior products in our effort to help preserve the environment and “ GO GREEN” . Genesis also offers Seamless Aluminum Gutters as well as Trex and other brand name decking products. You can rest assured with our product quality...

With over two hundred years of combined experience, Genesis Contractors comes well prepared with all the assets needed to make the construction progression both pleasing and effective for our clients.

About our Founder - Richard Rafos

Genesis was founded in 1994 after Rich’s return from the State of Alabama where he was building homes. Rich wanted a family run business with a “family style attention to detail” that specialized in remodeling. Starting with a single truck the company grew to its’ present six vehicle fleet.

Rich has fought hard to keep his pricing affordable and his quality high. He carefully screens all employees and remains true to his “hands on” approach. Rich can often be found onsite personally inspecting every job and checking every detail. In 2004 rich’s daughter Angela married Tom Kruger and Tom then came to work for Genesis. Tom worked his way up the ladder the old fashioned way…with hard work. Today Tom is Head of Operations as well as a hands on Carpenter.

Genesis is proud of the reputation they have earned in the Hudson Valley and they continue to strive to do better as they come up with solutions for Homeowners across the Valley.
